Game thread: Angels at Mariners – September 28

Well, here we go. It’s game 162 and the Mariners are playing for a chance to keep playing. If you would’ve told me that they’d be in this scenario back in spring training, I might have questioned your sanity, sobriety or intelligence.

But there they are. It’s simple. They need to win and they need the A’s to lose to force a play-in game on Monday at Safeco Field. MLB announced that it would be held at 1:07 p.m. if that happens.
