Eco chic: Locally made garter is part accessory, part handbag, all sexy

By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market

garter_630_0915When you’re all dressed up for a night on the town, who wants be encumbered by a big, heavy handbag or a clutch you have to carry and keep track of?

Go hands-free with the sexy Leather Garter Belt by Seattle designer Shari Noble of La macón. There’s room for your ID, credit card, cash and even a lipstick. It can be worn out of sight under a skirt or dress, or over jeans or tights as a cool accessory.

Each garter is cut and hand-sewn out of reclaimed leather in black or teal. The soft lambskin belt fits 19–22 inches around, and custom sizes can be made to order. The snap-close, scallop-edged pouch measures 3 by 3.75 inches.

$42 at etsy.com/shop/lamacon
