Kids’ shop: Cute bags make sack lunches a little ‘greener’

By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market

savursac_281_0922Back to school means packing lunches. And if you’re burning through plastic sandwich bags faster than you can say “landfill,” check out SAV-UR-SAC! reusable sandwich bags.

Each 6-by-6.75-inch bag is handmade in Portland by Green City Living from food-safe laminated cotton. They are BPA-, lead- and phthalate-free and are easy to clean.

They also look cute, coming in adorable prints including mermaids, owls and Eiffel Towers, with colorful seam stitching and a contrasting print inside.
