The 12th Man has a new drink for game day. Hilliard’s Beer in Ballard released The 12th Can this month to kick off the 2013 football season.
The new pale ale answers Sports Radio 950 KJR’s call for a local beer dedicated to Seahawks fans. Hilliard’s brewed Cascade hops with Maris Otter and Crystal malts for a beer they call unmistakably Northwest in flavor.
The craft beer hits the spot with a balance that’s not too strong, not too light and eminently drinkable from tailgate party to victory. Sold in 12-packs of tallboys (16 ounces with 4.5 percent alcohol by volume).
Around $21 at grocery stores or $24 (including tax) at Hilliard’s taproom
