Kids’ shop: Seattle gets even more colorful

By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market

colorful_seattle_1208_303Explore — and color — the Emerald City with a new coloring book for kids of all ages.

“Colorful Seattle — Explore & Color,” designed by Seattleite Laura Lahm, includes 28 original, ready-to-be-colored illustrations by Steph Calvert. Sites include landmarks such as the Space Needle, the Seattle Great Wheel and the Chittenden Locks fish ladder. There are fun surprises, too, such as Oxbow Park’s giant Hat ’n’ Boots and The Center for Wooden Boats.

There’s also a detailed map with background info on each featured spot.

The softcover book has perforated pages so kids can display their artwork. It makes a great holiday gift bursting with local pride.

$15 at colorfulcities.com, Click! Design That Fits (West Seattle) and the Space Needle Gift Shop
