Kids’ shop: Christmas stockings with big NW style

By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market

bigfoot_1215_630Upgrade the kids’ Christmas stockings to these big, furry Bigfoot feet with oversized plush toenails.

Fun, fuzzy and completely Northwest, Bigfoot Stockings are handmade in West Seattle by Kelice Penney of Careful It Bites, who specializes in quirky stuffed-animal monsters.

Penney’s mini Sasquatch Stuffies ($20) delight the little ones. Her plush Severed Yeti Heads ($45) score points with the older kids. And all ages will love the Bigfoot Stockings, which come in gray, green, white, fawn and maroon faux fur.

They’re so new, they’re not yet on Penney’s website,
carefulitbites.com. But you can contact her by email through the site to order, or catch her in the North Arcade of Pike Place Market (check facebook.com/carefulitbites for dates).

$45 each via carefulitbites.com
