Eco chic: Enjoy some art when you enjoy a cold one

By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market

bike_0511_630Get the party started with a locally made, eco-friendly Red Boots Design Bottle Opener.

Erin Boyd, of Bellingham, transforms found and salvaged wood into modern, functional wall art. She paints, screenprints and varnishes each piece with original designs, including moose antlers, a cruiser bike and the Seahawks logo. She then adds an industrial-strength U.S.-made metal bottle opener.

$34 at NuBe Green (Capitol Hill) and etsy.com/shop/RedBootsDesign
