Think hard about your jewelry. Really hard.
Maple + Mauve’s necklaces are small geometric shapes hand-cast in concrete. Sera Young makes the bold pieces in her studio in Seattle’s Fremont neighborhood, inspired by her previous job as a designer at an architecture firm.
The concrete pieces are sanded and sealed, and then suspended from delicate chains in gunmetal- or gold-plated brass. The result is edgy, sophisticated and memorable.
Necklaces $44–$86 at mapleandmauve.com and Venue (Ballard)
