Seattleite Sarah Henderson, of Copper Creations, has been making and selling jewelry since sixth grade.
She now creates copper earrings exclusively out of electrical wire salvaged from junkyards. She strips the insulation from the wire, polishes it with steel wool and transforms it into gentle curves and geometric shapes with round-nose pliers.
Each piece is coated with a clear finish to prevent tarnishing and help it retain its beautiful color.
$20-$24 at Annie’s Art & Frame (Ballard) and Four Winds (Queen Anne).
