Eco chic: Belts get remade into fun, funky accessories
By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market
Old belts get new life as funky leather pieces in Greenbelts’ line of accessories.
Northwest artist Shannon Ritscher pairs recycled belts with buttons, scrap leather and other accoutrements to create fun handmade fashions. Her creations include cuff bracelets, necklaces, earrings, pins, hair accessories and pet collars.
Pieces run the gamut from a sparkly feminine flower pin with a crystal center to an edgy black leather ring with a metal spike (shown). All pieces are one-of-a-kind.
