Locavore: Cookies that will make you happy to be gluten-free

By Bree Coven Brown / Special to Sunday Market

SkydottirCookie_450_0305Skydottir Epic Old School Chocolate Chip Cookies, made from scratch in Seattle, are the Holy Grail for gluten-free folks.

They’re completely gluten- and soy-free, but taste just like the real thing. They’re made from 90 percent certified-organic ingredients, including fair-trade-certified organic chocolate and coconut sugar, and EcoSocial-certified organic palm fruit oil.

They’re soft and chewy, like Tollhouse cookies, but locally made and responsibly sourced — a true Seattle spin on a classic favorite.

$3.39 for a two at select Whole Foods or $10 for six at etsy.com/shop/skydottir
