On deck: A busy day in the Microsoft Web and ad world

Microsoft’s fourth annual Mix conference for Web developers and designers really gets under way in Las Vegas tomorrow. The morning session, beginning at 9 a.m., features a keynote from Microsoft’s Bill Buxton, a top researcher in design and technology, and Scott Guthrie, who heads the company’s .NET Developer platform. The keynote is to be streamed live right here. Also check out Mary Jo Foley’s good preview, which she’s thinking will be more business-focused this year.

I’ll get a chance to speak with Guthrie and other execs at the event later Wednesday, but for the morning, I’ll be at Microsoft’s campus checking out new advertising technologies from adCenter Labs. Check back tomorrow for reports from both events.
