SAN FRANCSICO — Seattle entertainment database IMDB has built a new HD movie channel on its site using HTML, the new web technology.

Here is a video of Chris Keating, senior product manager, showing a demo of the new site, which you can access at www.imdb.com/hd. You will need an HTML5-compatible browser to experience the site, from Mozilla, Google of Microsoft.

Microsoft made the beta version of Internet Explorer 9 available for download on Wednesday. The company featured several Web creators, including IMDB, at a Wednesday event at the San Francisco Design Center.
