The guide to Microsoft Q3 earnings Thursday

It’s earnings day. Microsoft makes its third quarter financial report for fiscal 2011 after markets close Thursday.

Here is our guide to everything you need for earnings day.

To prep for the call and see what Wall Street wants to see in the report, read our earlier Seattle Times story here.

To see the results when they are posted after 1 p.m., go to Microsoft’s investor relations website.

To listen to the webcast of the earnings call for analysts at 2:30 p.m., here is the link.

To follow along without having to listen to all the financial questions about COGS (cost of goods sold), follow my tweets during the call @sharonpianchan.

Stay tuned to www.seattletimes.com today for coverage throughout the day.
