Former Microsoft cloud exec Amitabh Srivastava joins EMC

Former Microsoft cloud leader Amitabh Srivastava has joined data storage company EMC.

Srivastava was senior vice president in the Server and Tools division at Microsoft. He left when Satya Nadella was promoted to become president of the division and Srivastava did not get the top job. Microsoft announced his departure in February. Here is our earlier story on the Microsoft management changes.

The new job was first spotted by Mary Jo Foley at ZDNet via Srivastava’s LinkedIn profile. His profile says he is now president of the advanced storage division at EMC.
