Microsoft brings sales people and maybe Lady Gaga to MGX

Microsoft is holding its annual rally for its sales staff from around the world in Denver this week. The unconfirmed rumor on Twitter is that Lady Gaga will perform at the end of the week in a private concert for attendees.

The conference is called MGX, for Microsoft Global Experience. Microsoft said in a statement that the conference was an internal event. The company declined to comment on who would play the closing concert.

Last year, the Black Eyed Peas gave a private concert at MGX. The other rumor is the Red Hot Chili Peppers will play. Neither Gaga nor the Red Hot Chili Peppers are on tour, so there are not any apparent conflicts.

According to Visit Denver, the city’s tourism bureau, the conference is expected to bring 12,500 people to the Colorado Convention Center and it will last from Tuesday until Friday.

Here is video someone posted to Youtube of the Black Eyed Peas playing MGX in 2010.

Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am also popped up last year as a featured guest at the DreamForce conference organized by Microsoft arch rival Salesforce.com.
