Answering your Q: Am I going to work for Microsoft?

It’s my last week covering Microsoft for The Seattle Times and I am spending it answering your questions on the Microsoft Pri0 blog. To submit your question, scroll down to the end of this post. Thursday is your last day to send in your Qs.

Q: Are you going to work for Microsoft? -Jim, Maple Valley

No. It would be unethical for me to seek and interview for a job at Microsoft while I’m covering the company as an independent journalist.

I have an exciting opportunity waiting for me at The Seattle Times. I’ll be joining the digital newsroom as a producer. I will be mapping out and driving forward our mobile strategy on smartphones, tablets and e-readers to get you our news where you want it, when you want it. I will also diving deep on our site’s analytics and using that to get you more of the news you want.

Microsoft will be my last stop as a reporter for The Seattle Times. These are all the beats I have covered here: startups, venture capital, video games, wireless, telecom, gadgets, city hall, criminal courts, the University of Washington, the outdoors and entertainment.

Covering Microsoft was the best ride of my reporting career. Thank you for joining me on it. (Video courtesy of ABC.)
