Microsoft annual company meeting Friday at Safeco Field

Microsoft’s annual company meeting takes place tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Safeco Field.

About 18,000 employees are expected to attend, according to spokesman Lou Gellos, who said the meeting usually attracts about 18,000 to 20,000 employees out of the approximately 40,000 in the Puget Sound area.

Buses will take employees from the company’s Redmond campus to Safeco Field and back.

Beyond that, the company is not offering many details on the meeting, which is closed to the press.

“As has been our practice, the Company Meeting will contain a review of the past year, a look ahead at some of the work and projects under way and some fun elements along the way,” according to a Microsoft statement. “But, since this is a private internal session for employees, we are not sharing any details of the meeting beyond that.”

Anonymous blogger Mini-Microsoft, who is believed to be a Microsoft employee, writes about what he/she thinks will/should happen here.
