Darren Huston, Microsoft Corporate VP for Consumer & Online, leaving to head Booking.com

Darren Huston, an 8-year Microsoft executive, has been named CEO of Booking.com, billed as the world’s number-one online hotel reservation service and part of The Priceline Group.

Huston, 45, most recently held the position of Corporate Vice President of Microsoft’s Consumer & Online organization, which is responsible for the company’s global display and search ad sales and marketing across Microsoft’s consumer products.

Previously, he held the positions of president and CEO of Microsoft Japan, and corporate VP of the Small and Mid-Market Solutions & Partners Group in the U.S.
