Windows Phone Mango rollout starts today

Microsoft has officially started rolling out Windows Phone 7.5, codenamed Mango, today.

The company’s Windows Phone Blog outlines some of the new features in the update, including Internet Sharing (better known as tethering) and a new Web Marketplace.

The “Where’s my phone update” status page now shows almost all major carriers worldwide delivering the Mango update to existing Windows Phone users.

Keep in mind, though, that the updates are typically sent out gradually and/or in batches, so it might take several weeks before you receive notice that an update is available for your phone, the status update page says.
