Microsoft and Mozilla announce Firefox with Bing

For those tired of, say, Firefox with Google, Microsoft and Mozilla announced today the release of Firefox with Bing, a version of the web browser that includes default search settings for Bing.

Firefox with Bing, downloadable here, sets Bing.com as the default browser home page, as well as the default search engine in the search box and location bar.

There are nearly 20 customized versions of Firefox distributed globally by partners including Bing, United Internet, Twitter, Yahoo! and Yandex, according to Mozilla.

Firefox with Bing extends the partnership Mozilla and Microsoft announced last year whereby Bing was included as one of the search engine choices within Firefox.

The Firefox browser is created by Mozilla, a non-profit organization. In recent months, it’s captured about 27 percent of the global browser usage, according to website analytics tracker StatCounter.
