Xbox marketing manager joins Apple

Robin Burrowes, former head of Xbox Live marketing in Europe, has jumped ship to Apple to head its App Store and iTunes marketing, according to MCV and Burrowes’ LinkedIn profile.

Burrowes was head of product marketing for Xbox Live in Europe for three years and before that, had been a marketing manager for Xbox UK and events manager for MSN, according to his LinkedIn profile.

MCV, a gaming publication, notes that Burrowes is the latest of several marketing and communications execs from other companies to join Apple. Those others include former Nintendo PR boss Robert Saunders and former Activision, EA and Xbox PR boss Nick Grange.
