Welcome to Microsoft Pri0: That's Microspeak for top priority, and that's the news and observations you'll find here from Seattle Times technology reporter Matt Day.

Microsoft-Yahoo-AOL ad partnership now operational

The ad partnership announced in November between Microsoft, Yahoo and AOL is now open for business, according to a blog post from Microsoft Advertising.

The three companies had announced last fall that they had reached an agreement whereby each company can offer the others’ premium, nonreserved online display inventory to their respective ad customers.

That means each company can offer a larger pool of advertising opportunities, using real-time bidding.

The move is, in large part, a bid to counter Google, which has made large gains in Internet advertising.
