Pollution board says state did not err in approving Microsoft’s Quincy data center

If you read my colleague Craig Welch’s story last month about a former Quincy mayor battling Microsoft and other high-tech companies locating their data centers in Quincy, you might be interested in his follow-up here.

Former Quincy Mayor Patty Martin had said the server farms pose a pollution risk and she opposed the state’s approval of Microsoft’s data center there. The state had said the server farms are safe.

Craig’s follow-up story says that an independent state pollution board has ruled that the state did not err when it approved Microsoft’s permit.
