Nokia to unveil two new Windows Phone 8 handsets next month?

Earlier this month, Microsoft and Nokia announced a press event set for Sept. 5 in New York City at which it’s expected that new handsets running Windows Phone 8 will be announced.

Now, The Verge, citing “sources familiar with the two companies’ plans,” is reporting that two new handsets will be announced, both within Nokia’s Lumia line of Windows Phone.

One handset, codenamed “Phi,” is expected to be a hero device, with curved glass display and polycarbonate body, a la Nokia’s Lumia 800 and 900 models, according to The Verge, which reports that the other handset, codenamed “Arrow,” is expected to be a mid-range device.
