Samsung previews Windows 8 desktops

Samsung’s recent court loss against Apple may end up bolstering Windows Phone’s fortunes, but in the meantime, the hardware manufacturer showed off some of it upcoming Windows 8 desktops.

Samsung previewed three desktop computers running Windows 8 Tuesday at the IFA tech conference in Berlin, Germany. According to USA Today, the desktop PCs will have suggested prices of $749, $1,099 and $1,699. The Verge identifies the three machines — all of which have multi-touch panels — as a 21.5-inch Series 5 PC, and a 23-inch and 27-inch Series 7.

Samsung also teased what appeared to be a Windows 8 hybrid tablet, according to PCWorld, which speculated it could be the Series 5 convertible laptop-tablet.
