Bing adds Facebook friends photo search feature

Bing today released a “Friends’ Photos” feature, allowing users logged into their Facebook account to search and browse friends’ Facebook photos directly from Bing.

Users can either see which friends have posted photos related to their search in the Bing social sidebar, or go to the Friends Photo page to perform searches by subject terms or by friend and to browse photos.

When a relevant photo come up in the sidebar, users can click on the photo to be linked to more Facebook friends’ photos related to their search.

Bing unveiled a major overhaul this spring and has been expanding its social features since. Earlier this month, it added Q&A community website Quora to its sidebar. When users enter a search query in Bing, top Quora contributors’ answers related to that search query will come up in Bing sidebar’s “People Who Know” section.
