More upcoming Windows 8-ready devices from IFA

Many manufacturers are unveiling their upcoming Windows 8 devices (or those compatible with Windows 8) at the IFA tech conference in Berlin.

Up today were Lenovo and Acer.

Lenovo has several models that it plans to put on store shelves before the launch of Windows 8 on Oct. 26. Among those are the IdeaPad U510, an ultrabook available in September starting at $679, and the IdeaPad Z500, a slim laptop also available in September starting at $549. PCMag has details on those and other Lenovo offerings here.

Acer has a laptop-tablet hybrid device, a stand-alone tablet and touchscreen notebooks. Website Neowin has a rundown of the Acer offerings here.
