Windows 8 advertising goes live in 42 countries

As Microsoft prepares to launch Windows 8 later this week, it’s making big advertising push.

Ads have already started airing in the U.S. Now, Microsoft says, ads are going live in 42 countries.

The ads, all intended to have a positive, upbeat vibe, were created with partner ad agencies Crispin, Porter and Bogusky in the U.S.; JWT Brazil and JWT China, which created ads for Latin America and Asia; and Wunderman acting as a localization and distribution hub, according to an official Microsoft blog post.

Also in Times Square, in New York City, Windows 8 is going to be featured on more than 39 digital displays from Thursday to Saturday, and Microsoft will be hosting hands-on demos on the ground in Times Square.
