Microsoft Stores hosting Surface 2, Surface Pro 2 sneak peaks

Microsoft’s next generation of Surface devices — the Surface 2 and Surface Pro 2 — aren’t expected to be on store shelves until Oct. 22.

So the company is hoping to stoke excitement beforehand by hosting in several of its retail stores sneak peaks of the devices, with in-store presentations from Surface team leader Panos Panay.

In the Seattle area, the sneak peak is Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the University Village Microsoft Store.

The event appears to be open to the public, given that the company posted it publicly on Facebook. It looks like it’s asking people to RSVP via Facebook as well.
