Will Apple ever get too big to love?

 How does a company as powerful as Apple still compel the kind of adoration usually reserved for the little guys?

That’s the question running through my head as I read that Apple has already sold 5 million new iPhones and may be on a path to become the first company to be worth a whopping $1 trillion.

Conventional wisdom — or maybe the fact that I live in Microsoft’s back yard — tells me that big companies should lose their cult appeal as their fans realize that they’re no longer innovative underdogs, but masters. When there’s no one left to fight, there’s little left to root for.

Will Apple ever become too big to love, or has it already passed that test?

I guess we’ll see…
