Why they’re tweeting up a storm in downtown Seattle

Today is day one of the Seattle Interactive Conference, an event that’s bringing together technologists from various industries to talk trends, exchange ideas and, occasionally, fire off a good geeky joke.

Check out the Twitter hashtag #sic2012 to follow the conference chatter live throughout the day.

The conference will feature more than a few big speakers, including John Hodgman of “The Daily Show” fame and David Bunnell, founder of PC Magazine, PC World and Macworld.

Leaders from top Seattle companies like Valve, Cheezburger, PopCap Games and Decide.com will also make an appearance, as well as reps from the usual blockbusters — Amazon.com, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Microsoft and more.

I expect some techie fun will be had by all, as long as those devices are powered up.
