The view from Sacramento — Was initial meeting between politicians and investors “rocky”?
While today’s news, detailed below, on the court ruling in Seattle got the most attention, there was also an interesting story out of Sacramento on the reportedly “rocky” initial negotiations between the city and a group that is interested in attempting to purchase the Kings.
Here is the story, from CBS13 in Sacramento, reporting that the investing group asked for more public money than the city anticipated.
Ryan Lillis of the Sacramento Bee later tonight had a series of Tweets concerning that report, including this from the city manager refuting the report:
Sacramento City Manager John Shirey refutes report that talks between city and #NBAKings investors are ‘rocky.’

Expect the Bee to possibly have more on that aspect of the story later.
Also, the Bee had this story on the news today from Seattle.
