Friday links — No arena financing plan yet in Sacramento
As I type this at 11 a.m., the city of Sacramento has yet to release the term sheet detailing the financial plan for a proposed new downtown arena.
It had originally been scheduled to be released on Thursday, with the city then hosting a few public forums in advance of an expected vote on the plan by the City Council Tuesday night. Even without a plan to discuss, the city held a hearing last night anyway (details here).
However, a new lead investor was revealed on Thursday, Vivek Ranadive, who is currently a part-owner and vice chairman of the Golden State Warriors (bio here).
You can read all the Sacramento Bee’s coverage here including a live chat scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday.
Also, here’s a rather pessimistic view of what little details have arisen of Sacramento’s plan from FieldofSchemes.com.
