Seattle reaction to news of possible delayed decision

The biggest news to come out of today’s NBA meetings in New York is that the decision could be delayed past the April 18-19 Board of Governors meeting, when it had been expected there would be a final vote.

Seattle’s contingent spoke before NBA David Stern made that announcement, leading to the obvious question of what the Seattle folks may have thought about what Stern said.

A spokesman for Chris Hansen said simply that Hansen would have no comment.

A spokesman for mayor Mike McGinn, meanwhile, said via e-mail: “We had a good meeting with the NBA today and we look forward to continuing to work with them during their decision-making process.”

So, yes, basically no real reaction from the Seattle contingent on the possible delay other than to continue to hang on and wait.
