Stern says “one of the cities is going to be disappointed”

In the wake of the news earlier today that the NBA’s Relocation/Finance Committee will meet Monday, league commissioner David Stern addressed the Associated Press Sports Editors today in New York and said the Seattle/Sacramento decision remains vexing.

The Tweet below relays Stern’s quote that “one of the cities is going to be disappointed” which would seem to rule out the possibility of expansion, though some rumors persist that that could remain on the table in some form.

Stern also told the APSE that the decision will come on or about May 13:

As relayed in the timeline earlier today, the decision could come as early as May 8.  But Stern obviously is indicating it may take a little longer.
