Report — Sacramento offered major concessions to win NBA vote

The Sports Business Journal this morning has a story on the concessions it says Sacramento made to win the vote of the NBA Relocation  committee last week. That committee voted 7-0 not to allow the Kings to move to Seattle. The NBA Board of Governors is expected to follow that recommendation when it meets for the final time on this issue next week in New  York.

But reporter Daniel Kaplan Tweeted the highlights:

As Kaplan says, the most critical  may have been Sacramento saying  it would cap and then eliminate its share of supplemental revenue sharing. With Seattle being a bigger market that almost certainly would  have contributed more to those pools of money, that surely helped win over other NBA owners who would have been voting with their own pocketbook in mind.
