The latest news about the NBA's possible return to Seattle.

May 15, 2013 at 7:45 AM

The big day is here

As this is typed, we are about four hours away from the earliest that a decision on the fate of the Sacramento Kings may be known.

The NBA’s Board of Governors will meet at 1 p.m. Dallas time (11 a.m. Seattle time) and anytime in the following hour or so, a decision could be announced (though it could also take longer).

Lots of rumors flying around, and it’s difficult to really know what is what at this point. Finally, though, there should be some resolution today.

For now, a few links. …

— Here is our story previewing what may happen today;

— Times columnist Danny Westneat says the game may be over for the NBA in Seattle if the league says no to Seattle today;

— Here is the view from the Sacramento Bee;

— Here’s a lengthy piece in the Wall Street Journal;

— FieldofSchemes also sets up the day.
