Expect Olympic National Park road delays in next 10 days

Visitors to Olympic National Park in coming days should expect delays on some park roads as crews begin work to remove dirt and debris from drainage ditches.  Roads will remain open throughout the work, but some significant traffic stops are anticipated, park officials announced. Expect delays as follows:

Sol Duc Road: Motorists may encounter northbound delays of up to 15 minutes Sept. 30 through Oct. 1.

Whiskey Bend Road: Motorists may encounter delays of up to 60 minutes Oct. 2.

Deer Park Road: Motorists may encounter delays of up to 30 minutes Oct. 7 – 8.

Hurricane Ridge Road: Motorists may encounter delays of up to 15 minutes Oct. 9 – 10.

Motorists are advised to slow down, be alert for construction equipment and workers, and use extreme caution when passing work zones.

Current road information is available by calling Olympic National Park’s recorded information line at 360-565-3131 or checking here online.
