Need inspiration for the slopes? Not only do the region’s ski areas have their first opening day this Saturday, the annual Warren Miller Entertainment ski film for 2014, “No Turning Back,” screens Friday and Saturday at Seattle’s McCaw Hall.

Warren Miller’s annual films are known for sharp cinematography and black-diamond thrills around the world. This year’s film ventures to Japan, the Swiss Alps, Montana, France, Norway and beyond. Featured athletes include Ingrid Backstrom, Tyler Ceccanti, Mike Hattrup, Seth Wescott, Sierra Quitiquit, Rob Kingwill, Øystein Aasheim and more.

Everyone attending “No Turning Back” will receive free lift tickets to White Pass, Mission Ridge and Mount Bachelor, a 2-for-1 lift ticket to Stevens Pass, and discount vouchers for other ski resorts across the region.

Screenings are at McCaw Hall, 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday (online tickets including tax and fees: $29.49) and at the Kirkland Performance Center at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 25 and 26. For ticket sales and a list of other screenings in the region, see skinet.com/warrenmiller/events/wa.
