Get outta town: 3 quick ideas for your weekend (March 15-17)

With the stock market on a party binge, did your boss finally pony up with that bonus that’s been overdue since W’s first term? So celebrate and get out of town. Here are three ideas to get you into a new place and new space this weekend.

GO SOUTH

The 57th annual Portland Roadster Show brings more than 400 highly tweaked, more-custom-than-your-fingerprints and more-detailed-than-“War and Peace” cars and motorcycles to Portland’s Expo Center this Friday through Sunday. General admission is $15, or free for kids 12 and younger, plus $8 for parking. (Stop at a Portland-area Les Schwab Tires for discount coupons.)

GO NORTH

Head for British Columbia and the Sea to Sky Nordic Festival, where you can watch more than 800 Olympic and world-championship medalists go head to head at Whistler Olympic Park in biathlon, cross-country ski racing, para-nordic and ski jumping events.
