Seattle safety

Be safe; don’t ride Metro

I wonder if anyone has considered a link between our high-school students riding Metro buses and the recent uptick in youth violence in Seattle. I have heard about muggings and other problems from parents in both the north and south end for kids waiting at bus stops and riding buses.

Turning these kids out on the streets at a time when youth crime is known to be high, leaves them vulnerable to criminal activity. It also increases the opportunity for truancy.
