Declining donations

Save time and reduce congestion

Another way that people can help nonprofits is to make gifts to your favorite charity instead of Christmas presents to family and friends [“As donations drop, nonprofits forced to get creative,” page one, Nov. 10].

Charities like St. Vincent de Paul will send a card to someone saying a gift has been made in their name. This helps charities with needed resources and assists the neediest in our community — and saves you time and reduces congestion.

Have a stress-free, very green holiday season and enjoy the blessings of extra time to reflect on the spirit of the season. Lastly, enjoy the special feeling of knowing this kind of gift-giving is truly touching and changing lives in our community.
