Gory story doesn’t deserve top billing
Why did you give prime space, the top headline, to a teenage killer [“Teen won’t face death penalty,” NW Thursday, April 9]?
He needs help, not publicity. He is a sick person and people who read past the first three paragraphs of this gory, sad story must not have very interesting lives.
Society would have been better served if the top headline had been about Harry Case’s conservation-easement gift of 176 acres to the Whidbey Camano Land Trust [“Beloved forest will grow on,” NW Thursday, April 9]. What an inspiration he and his family are.
