References to ‘Jesus Christ’ banned from Longview City Council

Religious views should not be imposed on others

So, someone else has put in a complaint about the use of the words “Jesus Christ” in a council meeting [“ ‘Christ’ banned from Longview council invocations,” seattletimes.com, March 6].

I might not be a Christian, a Jew, a Buddhist or an atheist, but I do respect the fact that the majority of this country is founded on some sort of religious beliefs, even if they are not existent.

Deal with it, for God’s sake!

Quit trying to force your views on the rest of us. We do not try to force ours on you.

Act like an adult and accept things. Get a life. Go to church. You might learn something about compassion, respect and understanding.

–Maxine Davies, Everett
