Proposed buildings may block views of the Space Needle
Buildings will impact lake recreation
Thanks for the good article “Needle, Needle, who’ll see the Needle?” [NWMonday, March 11]. Building 125- to 240-foot high buildings one block from Lake Union will block the sun at the new park and wind on the lake.
The Center for Wooden Boats has been at the south end of the lake for 35 years and gives sailboat rides to thousands of people every year. Thousands of other sailors enjoy the lake as well. Please keep the towers at 85 feet maximum within 1,000 feet of the lake.
