Seattle nonprofit gives young Indian girls hope through gardening

Stories provide for self-reflection

Thank you for the inspiring series “Seeds of hope,” [page one, March 17] and also for the articles about Mariska Hargitay [“Silent on rape no more,” Opinion, March 18] and Kevyn Orr [“Finance expert holds Detroit’s fiscal future,” Business, March 18].

They all point to the positive difference one person can make in a troubled world. It makes me think about how I am spending my own free time.
