Bombs over Boston

Install more security cameras

After the horrible events in Boston, I believe most reasonable people should recognize the value of having Homeland Security Department cameras operating and overviewing most of our vital infrastructure targets [“Two bombs rock Boston Marathon,” page one, April 16].Seattle is as vulnerable as any other big city in America. The ability to identify and quickly go after violent criminals and in the case of Boston, actual terrorists, is paramount to the safety and security of our city and our families.

After the bombings in Boston, I would think the only people that would be against any cameras there would be the two terrorists. I now question the motives of those who do not want cameras in public places that can be used to prevent or solve violent crimes. Do they have something to hide now or in the future?
