Public discussion is necessary
As a survivor of the 1960s, I was encouraged by the arguments of David Perez, who eloquently states the case for the need for public discussion of the secret court system Edward Snowden has called to our attention. [“Guest column: Forget manhunt for Snowden; tell us more about secret courts,” Opinion, June 26.]
As a German-American, I believe that to ignore this discussion would be a historically ignorant mistake.
