Seattle School Board struggles

School board is inept

It seems to me that the Seattle School Board should be renamed the “Land of Mishap Management & Lost Accountability.” [“Editorial: Seattle School Board must do better for kids,” Opinion, June 16.]

The latest state audit found the board’s continued misuse of federal funds. Ironically, this has not diminished the board’s incessant pleas for more tax revenue.

It looks like cluelessness, apathy, or ineptitude is propagating in the school system. Does anyone in Seattle’s leadership business community, newspaper or public care, or is it simply more convenient to just tax and waste?

Tom Ruszala, Seattle
